Escaping Purgatory Ophidian Wheels of thunder haunt my passing days Eternal hours of torment captured in this maze Circling lakes of molten fire belching wrath upon us all No Man or Beast nor Shadowed Breed escaped these darkened walls Enshrined on walls, the demon’s calls of agony untold Enslaved in void, supernaturally soiled, with fear it took its hold I danced through halls of deafening silence, Animated by soulless undead creatures of shadow Bottomless sorrow captured in the hearts of men Kept my fellow creatures imprisoned in silent hell Scarred coastlines unveiled a silent misty roar Joyous songs of freedom called, Towards them could we soar Enshrined on walls, the demon’s calls, of agony untold Enslaved in void, supernaturally soiled, with fear it took its hold Raging wrath, from a sea of flame Tore the souls of all who sailed The sea of fire; claimer of lives But beyond it lies a paradise… Ciarán O'Neill
